This year has started much differently than last. We have been blessed with a much stronger economy that seems to be throughout the Wire Harness Industry. Our customer’s good fortune and faith in our services has created a challenge for Mecal by Starn. We made our debut 10 years ago with the intention of being the fastest delivery of Applicators and tooling in the US market. We have held true to that goal as we have grown over the years.

The increase in customer orders and all associated support systems are being expanded quickly at Mecal by Starn. Our goal now is to increase our company resources to meet your needs with the same sense of urgency we have proudly maintained for so long. I met personally with all our staff just a few days ago and laid out our plans to manage our customer requirements in the current environment. Our plan is to be reactive for all our customers large and small.

All of our steps beginning with quoting to delivery of the final product will see some changes. We want you as a valued customer to be fully aware of our goals to meet your needs.

We have been able to respond within a 24 to 48-hour period to new quotes when all the information is available. This will only change by 1 or 2 days while we increase our resources. As always, any quotation lead time is dependent on how complete and accurate the request is from you. We need your help in providing us the most accurate quote request for our staff to turn things around quickly. We are working on a standard quote request form for your benefit in this process.

Manufacturing Lead Time
Our promise to you is to never sacrifice quality for delivery. Our goal for the time we have worked together was to provide applicators in 3 to 4 weeks for the smaller quantity orders. The current deliveries will move to 4 to 6 weeks from the time we receive all the samples needed for design and testing. This will be reflected on our quotation of each product. All other lead times will be based on the size and scope of each request. As always, we will not make promises that we can’t support. All emergency request will be dependent on the current situation at time of the request. All of our staff promises you that we will always be making every effort to have a sense of urgency on these requests. We need your help in accurate priorities to insure your production success.
